Balluku goes to the field about the floods: We are maximally engaged
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, went to the field this Thursday, closely inspecting the situation at the Mifoli Bridge, where the evacuation operation in Novosela is taking place.
Balluku was informed by the responsible structures about the progress of the operation, the measures taken to guarantee the safety of citizens, as well as the technical interventions being carried out in the area. According to official sources, the evacuation is being carried out in cooperation with civil emergencies, law enforcement and local authorities.
"We are also committed to saving living things. The Prime Minister is designing a package that will guarantee compensation for both the agricultural sector and housing. Tomorrow there will be a meeting of the emergency committee where the Prime Minister will also address not only the solution to the situation, but also the important aspects that need to be made known. At this moment, we call on and ask citizens to respond to civil emergency calls. We must take even faster measures before the situation worsens. We hope for a decrease in the Vjosa, which is also affected by the rainfall in Greece at these moments, but we hope in the coming hours," she said.
