Immediate evacuation of Novosela residents - As a result of flooding. Minister Pirro Vengu issues the order
The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, has ordered the immediate evacuation of the residents of Novosela as a result of the situation created by the floods and the immediate danger to the life and health of citizens.
According to this order, the evacuation will be carried out through coordination with the National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC), the Prefect of the relevant District and the Civil Emergency structures in the municipality.
According to the legislation in force, the Mayor is the authority responsible for ordering evacuations in the territory of the municipality. In any case, communication and requests for assistance should be directed to the public authorities on the ground.
Priority in the evacuation process is given to children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and families in isolated areas.
Transportation for the evacuation of residents will be provided by Municipality vehicles, the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) and Armed Forces.
The management of housing and assistance for evacuated citizens will be carried out by the Municipality, in cooperation with the State Police, healthcare units and social service structures, as needed.
As part of this process, the following will be ensured:
• Registration of evacuees upon arrival at temporary shelter facilities
• Administration of basic needs, including food, clothing and medical assistance
• Providing periodic information on the status of the situation and next steps.
