MIE: Report on the situation created in the country by bad weather!
Yesterday evening and during the first hours of today, in addition to the rain, there was also snowfall in many areas of the country. The working groups of the ARRSH, OSHEE and other teams under the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources continue to be on the ground, despite the severe weather situation and low temperatures, intervening wherever problems have been reported.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
•Currently, 27 feeders are out of service, mainly in the Durrës region, also affected by the presence of water in the cabins.
•The 6kV network that supplies electricity to the Synej Hydroelectric Power Plant (Kavajë) is defective and work is underway to repair the line.
•All 35kV lines, substations, and feeders that supply electricity to Hidrovoret are fully functional.
TRANSMISSION NETWORK
•All 400kV, 220kV and 110kV lines are in normal operation.
•All line and substation brigades are on standby.
SITUATION IN THE DRIN CASCADE
•The natural streams in the cascade are:
•HEP Fierzë 2100 m3/s
•HPP Koman 700 m3/s
•HPP Vau i Dejës 200 m3/s
WATER SUPPLY
Berat region
•The Berat region is facing difficulties due to continuous and significant rainfall.
•In the Dimal area, the relevant station was flooded. The pumps were kept safe and under guard throughout the night.
•The water supply currently appears normal and the sewage system is functional.
Fier region
•Currently, of the four new wells that have been in operation, only one well continues to operate.
•Work is underway to strengthen the embankment at the Kafaraj central pumping station.
•The situation is being monitored continuously and the responsible groups are on full alert.
Vlora Region
•Currently, two substations have been flooded, namely in Novoselë and Trevllazër.
Other regions
•The situation in other regions appears normal and under control, with no problems in the drinking water supply and the sewage system.
PORTS AND AIRPORT
Port of Durres
•Activity continues normally and without problems, with planned operations in all main port areas.
•Ferry movements are being carried out normally, in accordance with the scheduled schedules.
Vlora Port
•The movement of passengers and vehicles continues normally.
•Small vessels are not allowed to go out to sea.
Port of Saranda
•Due to rough seas, the line to Corfu has been suspended.
