AKSK: 14.6 million attempted cyber attacks on information infrastructures in the first half of 2026
During the first half of 2026, January–June, a total of 14,628,595 cyberattack attempts were recorded against the infrastructures of the Albanian cyber ecosystem. This number corresponds to approximately 56.4 cyberattack attempts every minute.
Of the total number, 54% of the attempts were directed at important information infrastructures, while 46% were directed at critical information infrastructures.
The attempts have targeted various sectors, including the financial sector, public administration, digital infrastructure, the energy sector, and other important sectors.
The National Cyber Security Authority continues to continuously monitor threats and strengthen protective measures, with the aim of increasing the stability and security of information infrastructures in the country.
