624 complaints about public procurement / January-July, 31.4 million lek receipts in the state budget
In 7 months, from tender procedures, the state budget has collected a total of 31.4 million lek in financial fees at the conclusion of the review of procurement procedures.
But what is the situation with the complaints of economic operators? Referring to the data of the monthly bulletin of the Public Procurement Commission, for the month of July 123 complaints were addressed, which shows a decrease of 8 less compared to June. While for 7 months, a total of 624 complaints were calculated.
To focus on the complaints according to the stage of the process in which the complaint was filed, 64 complaints were addressed to Standard Tender Documents and 59 to bid evaluation. While, regarding complaints according to the type of contract, 11 are for public works, 61 for goods and 51 for services.
On the other hand, the local government as a contracting authority has a higher number of complaints, registering 41 such complaints, joint stock companies 31, the central government only 25 complaints, and the independent contracting authority 10 complaints.
But how does the financial situation look in terms of tender procedures?
To focus on financial fees collected as guarantees for procurement procedures, in July they are 16 million lekë, while in the 7-month period, they are around 142 million lekë. Meanwhile, financial fees returned to Economic Operators at the end of the review for the month of July are estimated at 12 million lekë, while for the period January-July they are around 81.9 million lekë.
