Albanian products, more towards Spain and Greece/ The two main partners with the greatest increase in exports in ten months

In October 2025, exports of goods reached 31 billion lekë, marking a slight increase of 1.0% compared to October 2024 and a monthly increase of 14.5% compared to September 2025.
During the ten-month period January-October 2025, exports fell to 291 billion lekë, marking a contraction of 7.0%, compared to the same period last year. The annual decline in ten months was mainly affected by the groups “Construction materials and metals” and “Minerals, fuels and electricity”, while the groups “Food, beverages, tobacco” and “Machinery, equipment and spare parts” had a positive impact.
Imports of goods in October 2025 reached 80 billion lek, with an annual increase of 3.6% and a monthly increase of 6.3%. For the ten-month period, imports decreased slightly to 737 billion lek, with a decrease of 0.8%, compared to the same period last year. The annual growth of imports was supported by the groups “Minerals, fuels, electricity”, “Chemical and plastic products” and “Textiles and footwear”, while the group “Construction materials and metals” was negatively affected.
The trade deficit in October reached 49 billion lek, increasing 5.4% from a year earlier and 1.6% compared to September 2025. For the ten-month period, the deficit reached 445 billion lek, an increase of 3.8% annually.
The performance by partner countries shows that exports in October increased the most towards Greece by 10%, the USA by 5 times and Spain by 28.9%, while they decreased the most towards Italy by 13.2%, Kosovo by 2.7% and Germany by 0.9%. For the ten-month period, exports recorded the largest increase towards Greece, Germany and Spain, while they decreased the most towards Italy, Kosovo and China.
Regarding imports, in October they increased from Italy by 6.1%, China by 31.2% and Greece by 4.2%, while they decreased from Turkey by 20.3%, Germany by 2.4% and the USA by 33.4%. For the ten-month period, imports increased from China, Greece and Spain, while they decreased from Italy, Turkey and Germany.
