Albania continues to experience an increase in tourist influx throughout 2025. The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, announced in a post on social networks that Albania welcomed 11,137,328 foreign visitors from January to October 2025, or 7% more than in the same period in 2024.

Among other things, Minister Gonxhja emphasizes that in October 2025 alone, 908,642 visitors were registered, a pace that demonstrates the transformation of year-round tourism, leaving behind the seasonal model and affirming Albania as a sustainable and attractive destination in every season.

Albania's geographical location favors the development of a year-round tourism industry.

Due to its long coastline, Albania offers beaches from north to south, such as in Velipojë in Shkodra, in Shëngjin in Lezha, in Durrës, Vlorë, Himara, Saranda, etc., beaches that are frequented not only by Albanians but also by foreign citizens, who choose Albania as a tourist destination during the summer months.

The country's historical and cultural heritage offers considerable potential and remains a favorite tourist attraction. Gjirokastra, Berat, Butrint, Kruja, Tirana, Shkodra, etc., are sought-after destinations for historical and cultural tourism.

Also, our country has numerous rivers, lagoons, and national parks, which make Albania a destination rich in natural beauty, attracting visitors from all over the world who prefer adventure tourism.

Tourism has become a year-round activity, increasingly becoming an important engine of economic development, generating income and increasing the country's presence on the world tourist map.
