Development of the Tirana Circus area – The winning studio is selected (PHOTOS)
The French architectural studio L'AUC was announced the winner for its vision for the development of the central area of Tirana, known to citizens as the Circus area.
L'AUC was selected from an international competition among 6 prestigious architecture studios, which presented their projects today, namely: COBE, Denmark; GO HASEGAWA & Associates, Japan; GROUPWORK, Great Britain; NIETO SOBEJANO, Spain; ARCHEA Associati, Italy.
"The location presented difficulties in terms of space, it was something really delicate and we tried to do the impossible, we believe we managed to do the impossible, we did the best possible. We are enthusiastic about continuing the project further, we are pleased to share our vision with other architects", said one of the representatives of the L'AUC studio.
"I am very pleased that L'AUC has been selected, we will be very happy to use our imagination to do something very good for Tirana and visitors," said another representative of the L'AUC architectural studio.
The jury evaluated the proposed idea and concept, highlighting several important aspects of the project and the philosophy behind it.
