Llogara Tunnel, 100-5,000 lek per passage - Tariffs are set, scheme according to 5 vehicle categories
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the Ministry of Finance have approved the fees to be paid by vehicles for passing through the Llogara Tunnel.
The payment scheme will be implemented with differentiated prices according to the class of vehicle, as the instruction divides vehicles into 5 different categories.
Thus, motorcycles and similar two-wheeled vehicles will pay 100 lek, while vehicles with two axles and a height of up to 1.30 meters, which are passenger cars and light distribution vehicles, will pay 250 lek.
Meanwhile, vehicles with more than two axles, but still with a height of up to 1.30 meters, such as passenger cars with trailers or caravans or light delivery vehicles with trailers, will pay 500 lek to pass through the tunnel.
The other category is vehicles with two or more axles and a height over 1.30 meters, such as vans, minibuses, and medium-sized vehicles, which according to the instructions will pay 1,000 lek.
Meanwhile, the road toll for heavy vehicles with three or more axles and a height of over 1.30 meters, such as buses and trucks with multiple trailers, will be 5,000 lek. All tolls include VAT.
Exempt from payment are Traffic Police vehicles, ambulances, fire engines, military/NATO vehicles, as well as persons with disability status according to the relevant law, when the vehicles are used for personal needs.
Vehicles belonging to the ARA and the National Road Operation Authority personnel while performing their functional duties are also exempted. However, passage through the tunnel is prohibited for vehicles transporting dangerous goods.
The instruction has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force, which means that the application of the payment has already begun for all drivers who choose to pass through the tunnel.
