Air transport, Rinas first in the region, 11.6 million passengers in 2025
Rinas International Airport “Mother Teresa” – TIA holds the top ranking for the number of passengers in the Western Balkans region. This is also confirmed by internationally certified statistics published by the Airports Council International. The same statistics were published on his social networks by Prime Minister Edi Rama, adding the following description:
"According to statistics published by Airports Council International, Tirana International Airport - TIA, processed 11.6 million passengers in 2025, marking an increase of 8.7% compared to 2024 and ranking first in the region.
"During 2025, 15 new destinations and 7 partner airlines were added," Rama writes.
