Tirana-Durrës, repair works begin - Intervention in the Vorë-Dajlani Bridge segment, cost 50.8 million lekë
The Albanian Road Authority has begun work to repair the subgrade and asphalt layers on the Vorë - Dajlanit Bridge axis, on the Tirana - Durrës highway.
The works are being carried out within the framework of the "Emergency for the repair of asphalt substrates and layers" project, with the aim of improving the quality and safety of this road segment.
As of October 13, traffic is expected to be blocked in the Vorë–Durrës direction, in several segments, namely: Vorë–Maminas, Maminas–Sukth, Sukth–Fllakë, Fllakë–Shkozet Overpass, and Shkozet Overpass–Dajlan Bridge. The works in each segment will last 1 to 2 days.
The blocking of the crossing was followed by traffic on the first day of the works, while earlier the ARA suggested to drivers to use the alternative route Vorë–Maminas–Katër trës e Shijakut–Durrës, to avoid traffic and delays.
After the completion of the interventions on the Vorë–Durres side, the works will continue in the opposite direction, Dajlanit Bridge–Vorë, with the same segment division and time limits. The interventions on this axis have a value of 50.8 million lekë, excluding VAT, while the works are being implemented by the company Bami Holding.
