Second call for jobs in the oil and gas sector - Balluku: More young engineers

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, announced that the second call for internships has been opened for young people studying in the field of oil and gas, to become part of the public company Alpetrol.

"In 2024, the Ministry of Infrastructure, in collaboration with Alpetrol, has undertaken a new project for young men and women studying in the field of oil and gas. This group, which joined us just a year ago, has already become part of the Alpetrol organization.
Today, among a formed class, 45 young engineers were tested, who have expressed interest in becoming part of Alpetrol. This practice has proven very successful. During the last call, we received 95 applications and selected 55 people who passed the first phase of the oral interview and are now in the second phase of the written one."

Ms. Balluku emphasized that the growing interest of young people to stay and work in Albania is a positive signal for the energy industry. According to her, over the years, the country has faced a shortage of young engineers, as many have emigrated to Canada or other countries.

Now, it seems that the desire to contribute to our country, in strategic companies like Alpetrol, is returning.

Of the 55 applicants currently being tested, 25 will be employed at Alpetrol, while the rest will be evaluated for engagements in other public institutions.
