The building under construction in Vlora is confiscated/Rama: This is the fate of all buildings with construction permit violations!
The National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IKMT) has launched a national action to verify all buildings under construction throughout the territory of Albania, which Prime Minister Edi Rama also reflected on his social networks today, where Chief Inspector Dallëndyshe Bici was also present on the ground.
Rama informed that all buildings with violations of the construction permit will, if necessary, be demolished or confiscated by the state for public functions, while he warned of criminal prosecution against municipal employees who allow construction without a permit.
"This fate will befall all buildings with violations of the construction permit, which, as the case may be, will be demolished or confiscated by the state for public functions. Meanwhile, municipal employees who carry out inspections at every stage of construction according to the law and turn a blind eye to violations will be referred to the prosecution for a series of possible criminal offenses," declared the prime minister.
Rama also stated that the new territorial control reform will soon be approved, which provides for stricter measures and administrative and criminal liability for "sniffs", inspectors, municipal heads, employees and police chiefs who abuse their duties and Albanian taxes.
"Albania 2030 in the EU demands an end to these phenomena, while 99% of citizens who respect the law deserve public spaces that are inviolable by no one," Rama stressed.
From Vlora, where IKMT is conducting intensive controls, Chief Inspector Dallëndyshe Bici announced that the action will continue throughout the territory to guarantee law enforcement and the protection of the public interest.
