The "Defender Europe 25" exercise starts on May 25 in Albania/ Vengu: NATO is united!
Defense Minister Pirro Vengu announced in a post on social media that on May 25, Albania welcomes one of the largest multinational military exercises: 'Defender Europe 25', led by the US European Command (USEUCOM).
He emphasized that "NATO and partner forces will train in Albania and Kosovo for the protection of critical facilities, offensive and defensive operations, as well as for security at key deployment points."
"A test of interoperability and a clear message: NATO is united," Vengu said.
This exercise, which will start in Albania, will last until June 9. It aims to increase readiness, interoperability, and the ability to act in a coordinated manner between US, NATO, and partner country forces.
"Defender Europe 25" includes a series of large-scale combat activities spanning several European countries and is built around NATO's Article 5 scenario, which simulates the collective defense of allies.
