Assets derived from criminal activity - Police seize 228 thousand euros, 1 apartment and 2 vehicles!
The State Police announces that the Section for the Investigation of Money Laundering and Criminal Assets, in cooperation with the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets, as a result of the investigative and tracking work carried out under the direction of the Tirana Prosecution Office, for the identification and seizure of assets obtained from criminal activities, finalized the "Real Owner" operation.
According to the announcement, within the framework of the operation, the decision of the Tirana Court was executed, imposing preventive seizure on assets registered in the name of the father of citizen I. Gj., 34 years old, resident of Tirana, convicted of human trafficking.
"Specifically, 1 apartment and 2 vehicles were seized, worth around 228 thousand euros.
The Prosecutor's Office is continuing to investigate other illegally acquired assets that the 34-year-old may have registered in the names of other citizens.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Police announced.
