The e-visa system, facilitation of the visa application procedure - AKSHI,

The National Agency of the Information Society has opened a tender for the improvement of the electronic visa system for the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, with a limited fund of 146 million ALL.

In this framework, the e-visa system has been developed, the purpose of which is to implement the common visa policy, to facilitate the visa application procedure; for preventing the purchase of visas and facilitating checks at border crossing points.

The e-Visa system has accelerated the procedures from online payment to electronic visa issuance, significantly reducing the time of receiving the service, since everything is online and accessible from all visa processing structures;

Meanwhile, it has enabled the integration of all institutions that are responsible for the visa verification and approval process in a single system, e-Visa.

In the document published in the Public Procurement Agency, it is stated that the main objective of this project is the improvement of services and their unification. Also, the purpose of this project is to improve the e-visa platform system offered by the institution, including security elements; for the provision of organizational and administrative tools and mechanisms, which will help Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts to increase performance, transparency and effectiveness.

The improved e-visa system will have a central administration by MEPJ. System administrators will administer reference data. By having a unified database, service delivery will be facilitated and data will be more coherent.
