The budget for social protection for 2025 has suffered a "shrinkage" compared to previous years.

Referring to the fiscal indicators of the draft budget, during the next year it is predicted that nearly 28.1 billion alleks, or about 286 million euros, will be spent on these categories, with a decrease of 2.1 billion alleks or 22 million euros in relation to the last normative act of 2024 .

Divided by category, the unemployment payment remains at the level of 800 million lek, not undergoing a change in support compared to this year.

Economic assistance and work disability receives a budget of 23.7 billion ALL in 2025, and suffers a decrease of nearly 2.4 billion ALL compared to this year.

The compensation for former political victims falls to 1.2 billion ALL, from 1.4 billion ALL provided in the 2024 budget.

While the birth bonus is planned at 2.2 billion ALL, with an insensible increase compared to this year. As for indexation of pensions, the fund goes down to 1.6 billion ALL from 4.1 billion distributed during this year and the end-of-year bonus undergoes an increase of 100 million ALL, reaching 3.75 billion ALL.

In relation to the agricultural sector, an increase in funds of 400 million ALL compared to the initial budget is expected next year, reaching a total of 14.6 billion ALL. Funds for rural development, including subsidies, remained at the same level as a year ago, recorded at 7.2 billion ALL.
