New intelligent security system in Albania - Prime Minister Rama: "Magic eye" that identifies lawbreakers in real time

The Albanian government has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia for a new intelligent security system. In his speech, Prime Minister Rama said that now intelligent cameras will monitor and signal violations.
"This is a project that gives the State Police a magic eye to see in real time the entire territory of interest. When we talk about real-time identification of the offender, we are not talking about an identification that comes as a result of the employee following the screen. It is a real-time magical eye that sees, identifies, marks and brings it before the eyes of the police officers.
"The eye of this entire system is an eye that looks everywhere at the same time and that collects all the information necessary to signal the problem," said Rama.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Albana Koçiu, listed the country's expectations from this project.
"So what do we gain specifically? Referring to the most successful models and results achieved in other countries, the expected impact is:
Up to 30% increase in detection of criminal events;
Up to 45% reduction in road accident fatalities;
30% less time spent in traffic;
25% less traffic management costs;
"30% less administrative burden for the State Police, meaning more time protecting the citizen ," said Koçiu.
Albania will be the first country in the region to have an integrated security and urban management system in its 20 largest cities. It is planned to install over 5,000 smart cameras in cities, as well as 3,000 body cameras on the uniforms of State Police officers.
