Minimum monthly wage increases to 50,000 lek - The latest government decision includes 307,850 employees

At its last meeting, the Council of Ministers approved the increase in the minimum monthly salary from 40,000 lek to 50,000 lek. This decision includes 307,850 registered employees in the public and private sectors.
According to an announcement on social media by the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, this decision aims to protect the standard of living of employees, strengthen human capital, and improve the standard of living for thousands of Albanian families.
At the same time, increasing the minimum wage helps reduce informality in the labor market and strengthen respect for legal contracts.
"The economy grows when work is valued and the dignity of employees is placed at the center of public policies," concludes Minister Delina Ibrahimaj's announcement.
