The winner of the international competition for "Faith Park" has been announced, a visionary project that aims to turn interfaith harmony into a tangible experience through nature.

At the closing ceremony of the international competition for the Faith Park project in Tirana, the international studio BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group was announced the winner, among 12 finalists from various countries such as the United Kingdom, Portugal, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy.

The Park of Faith will be built on the idea of interfaith coexistence and dialogue, inspired by the common symbolic elements of the great religions, expressed through the trees, fruits and flowers mentioned in the holy scriptures. This project will serve as a meeting point for reflection, tranquility and cultural interaction, giving the city of Tirana a new spiritual and aesthetic dimension.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the announcement of the winner, emphasized the importance of such projects that promote coexistence and civic spirit: “I wish we had the opportunity for more such parks.” The Park of Faith comes as another testament to Albania's commitment to promoting interfaith harmony, a value that our country has preserved for centuries.

Speech by Prime Minister Edi Rama:

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who participated in this competition. It is the most complex, the most exciting and the most complicated so far. But it was also a competition that was reflected in all the efforts of the participants and in the emotional way everyone presented themselves.

It was also a time from which we all learned a lot, and I say this with great humility because there were many things that needed to be discussed but also learned while we followed each project, while we tried to find the pros and cons for each project.

In the end we got stuck because it was difficult to make a decision, not because we were divided as jury members but because we were divided within ourselves. I wanted to get the opinions of some of you who were not part of the competition or the jury and I still found a dilemma but someone should win. It's not that we are not convinced, we are quite convinced but at the same time I would like to be able to make more parks this way.

What you all have brought and offered us is extraordinary. I really hope that we will celebrate together the opening of this paru which is something we will be very proud of. Thank you Bjarke, thank you Giulia, thank you and thank you to all the teams that participated.

I really thank everyone. A great energy, an extraordinary moment of architecture, landscape creation and thinking about nature and it is one of those moments where you tell the truth that all the misery that politics brings to our lives is worth facing because there are actually things like this that lift your spirits and with which you feel blessed
. Thank you everyone.
