Thethi road reopens for traffic, ARRSH: Beware of avalanches
After a temporary closure due to avalanche activation, the Theth road is open to traffic. However, the Albanian Road Authority has announced that, as a result of heavy snowfall, in a segment with a length of about 550 meters, there is a risk of avalanches from the heights of the slopes. "This risk increases during the sunny midday hours, when the snow melting process begins. For this reason, during days with clear weather and for safety reasons, there will be a provisional closure of traffic until the hours when temperatures drop and the snow freezes again. Traffic during dangerous intervals will be carried out with the assistance of maintenance company employees, which are present on the ground at all times", - announced the ARRSH, calling on drivers to be careful and follow the instructions on the ground.
