Prime Minister Rama announces reorganization of parliamentary committees!
Prime Minister Rama also announced that " A special commission for electoral reform must be established. The fact is that whether it is for party electoral commissions or for the delay in the election results, we are a unique species in Europe, and I don't know who else we have friends with in the world where pluralistic elections are held. Another need is the harmonization of the law on investigative commissions. Thus, it will ensure that the assembly, but also the public, has expectations from investigative commissions, and the quality and institutional accountability in parliamentary investigations will increase. Today, we still find ancient names of the people's assembly for the early parliamentary commissions. But there is no organic connection between the assembly of a three-year Albania that aims to enter the EU."
"According to the working group, all reports made over the years highlight that the high number of members per committee and the movement of MPs from one committee to another constitutes a problem. It is suggested that in each priority area for negotiations, the new Assembly needs more committees and fewer members. More committees, fewer members," said Rama.
New committees of the Albanian Parliament:
1. Committee on Economy, Employment and Finance
2. Committee on Legal Affairs and Public Administration
3. Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense
4. Committee on Education, Science and Sports (led by the opposition)
5. Committee on Health and Social Welfare (led by the opposition)
6. Committee on Natural Resources, Environment and Infrastructure
7. Commission on Human Rights and the Media
8. Committee on Agriculture, Food and Rural Development
