The SP Assembly with the Municipality of Tirana begins/ Rama: The situation is no longer sustainable! We are not acting as anyone's lawyer
As announced, the Socialist Party Assembly, where the new government cabinet is expected to be presented after the victory in the May 11 parliamentary elections, began its work at 11:00 AM at the Palace of Congresses.
In his speech, Socialist leader Edi Rama, also the chairman of the Socialist Party, started with the situation in the Municipality of Tirana, where he stated that the situation created "cannot hold up any longer."
"We will also need to address the emergency in Tirana's direction here for the universally known reason. It can't be continued any longer, but I must say as clearly as possible from the beginning what I believe we should all share together on the issue of justice and our relationship with it."
We have not entered into any case on the merits of justice, especially where justice has not yet fully spoken its word. We have not acted as the lawyer, remember, of the large political family that is barred from justice.
"We will have no regrets about the freedom and independence we have given to justice in the justice reform. Through the reform, we have consciously removed the hands of the executive from any process of selecting, electing or dismissing prosecutors and judges. We have left it to the judicial power to resolve its own affairs, " said Rama.
