Prime Minister Rama announces elections for Tirana's leadership: "Ogerta Manastirliu is the man the capital needs"
During his speech at the Socialist Party Assembly, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the elections for mayor of the capital. According to him, Ogerta Manastirliu is the person Tirana needs.
"No one knows how long this story can last and no replacement can have the legitimacy to lead the capital's municipality for the next two years. I do not take away any merit from the mayor for what she has done for 7 months, but today we must make a political decision to pave the way for elections for a mayor in Tirana. The municipal council must pave the way for the dismissal of the mayor. Tirana can no longer wake up and go to bed like a shameless fool and Tirana must not spend another 7 days without knowing what will happen to the mayor. Ogerta Manastirliu is the man Tirana needs", said Rama.
