"Dream" vacations for Albanians - From Mauritius to Sri Lanka. Japan leads with the most expensive prices
Despite the costs, Albanians are traveling more than ever. From the most visited metropolises of Europe, Turkey and Greece as the two most preferred vacation destinations, to tropical islands, which are even less heard of and even more frequented.
"Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been very popular for several years now. Thanks to this, the direct lines we have. Both for Abu Dhabi and for Dubai. Of course, the Maldives is also very much preferred by young couples. That is, even to spend their honeymoon there," said Fiorida Zani - Tour Operator.
But what are the remote and previously unfrequented destinations that Albanians are recently choosing to vacation in?
"Japan is a destination that is being visited a lot and is being preferred by Albanians in recent years, being a very beautiful destination that offers a lot. The prices are not very cheap, but this is also a destination that is being preferred a lot. Sri Lanka is also on the rise, there are not many people visiting it, but there is definitely demand. Petra in Jordan, also Mecca in Saudi Arabia which is a distant place that is visited by Muslim believers. It is a special destination. And it is a city that is protected by UNESCO, and they have preferred to escape there, " she said.
But besides them, Bali and Zanzibar continue to be among the exotic places that Albanians choose to vacation.
