Works on the Kashari overpass, ARRSH announces traffic restrictions on the Tirana-Durrës highway
The Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) has announced that temporary traffic restrictions will be imposed on the Durrës-Tirana highway on August 6 and 7, 2026, as part of the works for the "Expansion of the Tirana-Durrës Superhighway (Phase III)" project.
According to the Albanian Road and Traffic Authority, from 00:00 to 04:30, the installation of the metal beams of the new Kashari overpass will be carried out. To guarantee the progress of the works and road safety, two lanes of the main axis in the Durrës-Tirana direction will be blocked.
During this interval, traffic moving from Durrës towards Tirana, "Mother Teresa" International Airport and Kosovo will be diverted via the Thumanë–Kashar highway ramps.
Vehicles destined for the airport and Kosovo will continue their journey on the Kashar-Thumanë highway, while drivers of vehicles destined for Tirana will be guided through temporary signage on the secondary road, to then return to the Durrës-Tirana highway after the Kashar overpass.
The Albanian Road Authority has called on drivers, businesses and residents of the area to show understanding and respect the temporary signage during the construction work.
