"Our program for every Albanian" - Berisha in Belsh: We aim to change

Speaking at a meeting with residents of Belsh and Cërrik, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said the program of the PD-ASHM alliance is for every Albanian, whose life will change for the better.

My friends, I come to you today to present our project, which has two major goals. First, to return the money to you, the Albanian citizens, to return the taxes to you in salaries, pensions, economic support, unemployment support, health services, educational services, infrastructure. Second, a new opportunity for each of you. In this way, we are convinced that we are moving towards a great Dumre, a great Cërrik, a great Elbasan and a great Albania. Therefore, in the first 100 days, I tell you here, we will have the fiercest battle with the evils that have taken hold of this country in the first 100 days. We will defeat them.

Berisha emphasized that, with the implementation of this program, we will lift every Albanian citizen out of extreme poverty, we will eliminate misery from Albania.

In Albania, from 2013 to 2024, prices have increased by 250 percent. Go buy bread today, how much do you get milk today, and what about meat? You used to get 700 lek, now you get 1,700 lek. So, economists have calculated that to buy what you used to buy with a pension of 143,000 lek, to buy today you need a pension of 390,000 lek because prices have increased a lot. This forced hundreds of thousands of families to tell their children to run away because there is no food, take the dirt roads. Today, hundreds of thousands of pensioners cannot afford their medicine. Do they get medicine for 140,000 lek? They either have a snack, or their medicine. Or rent.

During his speech, Berisha promised to adapt the reimbursement list that Italy has, while every pensioner can undergo complete analyses twice a year for free, guaranteed by the state.
