"In the first 100 days, no pension below 200 euros" - DP Leader, Sali Berisha, from Librazhdi: We will lift Albanians out of extreme poverty
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, from Librazhdi, declared that with the program of the DP-ASHM alliance, every pensioner, within the first 100 days, will never have a pension below 200 euros.
We will establish a living wage of 200 euros, which will improve the situation of 560 thousand pensioners with pensions below 170 euros. The living wage will be given to all Albanians on economic assistance, all unemployed, all students with disabilities and parents with one child. In the first 100 days, we will lift Albanians out of extreme poverty. And not only that, but we will give every Albanian with a low salary 500 euros, every pensioner a consumer card with which they will buy food and basic things 20 percent cheaper than others, which means that they will receive 450 euros in compensation per year.
Berisha promised that in the first 100 days of government, the price of oil would be reduced by 40 percent, and it would never be sold for more than minus/plus 10 percent of the price in North Macedonia and Kosovo.
Friends, so we are giving a final blow to misery or extreme poverty. There will be no Albanian who has less than 6.3 euros a day. With our program, the Alliance for a Greater Albania will give business a powerful new lease of life. Small businesses will pay 6 lek for energy from the 18 they pay today. Water tariffs will be halved. The public space tariff will be divided by 5. The ceilings will be increased to 180 thousand euros for VAT and profit tax for small businesses. For other businesses, a flat tax of 10 percent will be imposed from 23 percent. VAT will be reduced to 15 percent from 20 percent.
According to Berisha, by implementing this program, Albania will be the country with the best business climate and they will pay 6 lek for energy from the 18 lek they pay today.
