Albpetrol oil production: 4-month period/ The state-owned company produced about 21 thousand tons, Gorisht-Kocul leads
About 21 thousand tons of oil were produced by the state-owned company Albpetrol during the first 4 months of this year. Data published by the company itself show that production continues to remain at almost the same levels compared to previous years.
The largest production continues to be provided by the Gorisht–Kocul field. According to detailed data from Albpetrol, about 9,634 tons of oil have been extracted from this field. It is followed by Kuçova with 5,191 tons and Cakran–Mollaj with 3,939 tons. Meanwhile, production in Patos results in about 1,306 tons, while in Amonica 960 tons.
Currently, Albpetrol carries out oil extraction activities in the Kuçovë fields, in the southern part of Patos-Marinza, Cakran-Mollaj, Gorisht-Kocul, Amonićë and Karbunarë.
Data over the years shows that the state-owned company's production remains significantly below the levels recorded about a decade ago. The record of the last period was set in 2017, when Albpetrol produced over 93 thousand tons of oil, while in 2018 production reached about 89.5 thousand tons.
After the minimum level of around 40.9 thousand tons recorded in the pandemic year 2020, production recovered and in the period 2022–2024 it stabilized near the level of 70 thousand tons per year. However, during 2025, a decline was recorded again, with production dropping to 64.9 thousand tons, around 5.3 thousand tons less than the previous year.
