The fire in Dajt continues to be active - MoD: 382 forces on the ground to deal

Over the last 24 hours, 35 fires have been reported in the country's territory, of which 5 remain active and 3 are under control, the Ministry of Defense announced.

382 operational forces and 40 firefighting vehicles have been deployed to deal with the situation. In support of field operations, the Armed Forces have deployed 90 personnel and 3 Air Force helicopters.

In Dajt, Tirana, the fire extinguishing operation continues, with the engagement of 30 members of the Armed Forces. Authorities report that there is no danger to residential areas, while the fire in Priska is under control.

In Lufaj i Mirdita, the outbreak remains active at low intensity and operational forces continue to intervene. There is no reported risk to homes in this area either.

The situation continues to be closely monitored in Tërbun–Gjegjan–Gojan, Puka. In the forest areas of Tërbun, the situation has improved, while the outbreaks in Gjegjan and Gojan remain active. During the operation, a family was evacuated, while the intervention of the forces has averted the danger to the home. The operation is currently supported by 40 members of the Armed Forces and 2 helicopters.

In Gjorm e Sipërm, Malësi e Madhe, work continues to extinguish a reactivated fire. 2 firefighting vehicles and 6 MZSH personnel are engaged in the field.

Meanwhile, in Tunjë të Re, Gramsh, operational structures continue to work to isolate and extinguish the fire. According to authorities, there is no reported danger to residential areas.

In Gurë-Lura, the situation remains under control after the fire was extinguished, while in Qafë Helmes, the work of operational forces continues. There is no reported danger to homes in this area either.

The National Civil Protection Agency continues to continuously monitor the situation throughout the territory, in coordination with prefectures, municipalities and structures of the Civil Protection system.

Operational capacities remain on the ground and ready for immediate intervention, with priority given to protecting the lives, homes and property of citizens.
