Albanian agricultural products in world markets - Over 265 thousand tons exported in 6 months, an increase of 10%
Nearly 265.9 thousand tons of Albanian land products were sent to international markets in the first half of the year.
According to official data from the Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural exports during January-June 2025 marked an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year, or approximately 14,250 tons more.
According to the Ministry, "Made in Albania" products are continuing to successfully penetrate elite international markets, thanks to the trust in the quality guaranteed by local farmers and Albanian soil.
In total exports, those that lead and have the highest demand from foreign consumers are Albanian fresh fruits and vegetables. Among the most exported products are seasonal ones, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, salads, watermelons, melons, etc.
The increase in exports of Albanian products shows a reflection of the increase in quality and empowerment of farmers in the country. Also, the sustainable growth of agricultural products reflects the work and effort of Albanian farmers for brand recognition in international markets, qualitatively improving the products with which we compete in international markets.
The favorable climate and the opportunity to cover regional markets with untapped potential make Albania a country with promising potential in several sectors, especially in agriculture.
The government's objective is to reach $1 billion in exports by 2030 through support policies for farmers in terms of production, quality, and certification.
Meanwhile, Albanian agricultural products are today found in 80 international markets.
The 2025 budget addresses about 15 billion lek for agriculture and rural development, with priorities for financing farmers and strengthening the sustainability of the sector.
On the other hand, Albanian products during the summer season occupy an important place in the domestic market, supplying not only the demand of domestic consumers but also of foreign tourists, who when visiting Albania are more oriented towards local products.
