Malay: 14,770 more employees declared in June

The labor market in Albania is reflecting clear signs of economic growth and improved formalization, according to data made public today by the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj.

He stated that in June 2025, 14,770 more declared employees were registered, compared to the same period in 2024, a significant increase that results from a combination of active policies to promote employment and strengthening controls on informality.

Malaj praised this progress as a clear indicator of sustainable economic growth and ongoing efforts to build a fairer and more regulated labor market.

"We thank the businesses that are contributing responsibly to this process, respecting the law and ensuring the rights of their employees," he said.

The growing trend of employee declaration has a direct impact not only on securing state budget revenues, but also on guaranteeing social rights for hundreds of thousands of citizens, through social and health insurance contributions.
