Problems on several road axes - ARRSH: Contractors on site to clean up

During the night, rainfall continued throughout the country, bringing falling rocks, inert materials and the presence of water on the road. According to the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), snowfall occurred in the northern area, at altitudes above 1100 m, specifically on the axes: Bogë-Theth, Hani i Hotit-Vermosh, Surel-Qafë Priskë-Qafë Mollë, Elbasan-Gjinar, Ibë-Krrabë-Elbasan, Qafë Mali-Fierzë.

Meanwhile, the axes that have had problems: Qafë Dushk-Sevaster (km 10-11): one-lane traffic due to narrowing of the road, Valare-Erind-Çajup (km 7+600): active landslide, blocked axis at this location, work is underway to open it.

On the Korça-Dardhe axis, there is a lateral landslide of the road body and the situation is being monitored. On the Përmet-Tre Urat (Petranit Bridge), there is an active massive landslide, the crack has widened by about 10 cm.

There have been landslides on the Librazhd-Qafë Thanë road axis and cleaning is underway, while in Skuraj-Peshkopi, there have been falls of rocks and inert materials, where work groups are carrying out cleaning.

Dushaj-Lekbibaj: rockfall in the early hours of the morning, traffic continues with caution, Shkalla e Zezë (Gjirokastër): one-way road, increased attention is required, while in Llogara there is dense fog.

According to the ARRSH, contractors with vehicles and workers are on the ground without interruption to clean the road axes. Drivers are asked to exercise increased caution while driving, reduce speed due to moisture on the road, and equip themselves with winter tires and chains when traveling to mountainous areas with the presence of snow.
