New tax plan for 2025 - Director Ilir Binaj speaks: Who will the anti-informality action affect?
Anti-informality action and improving services for taxpayers are two of the tax administration's main priorities for 2025.
In an exclusive interview with SCAN TV, the Director General of Taxes, Ili Binaj, explains the plan for this year.
"The tax administration has two main priorities, the first priority is increasing the quality of services to taxpayers and this is very important for us. Meanwhile, the other priority that is equally important is the informality of salaries ," says Ilir Binaj, Director General of Taxation.
According to Director Binaj, the action will focus on two main sectors, where it has been noted that the problem is higher.
"The action against wage informality will continue throughout 2025 in order to increase pensions. In general, we will focus on sectors that have had the greatest growth in the last three months, which is construction and tourism, so there will be more detailed sectoral plans in these sectors to have a better and stronger response to wages, as it is known that the wages of employees in this sector are much higher than what they actually declare in the system ," Binaj said.
