Energy price reduction comes into effect - Tariffs by category, the reduction is reflected in bills paid in March
February 1st marks the entry into force of new electricity prices for household consumers, while the tariff reduction will be reflected in invoices to be paid in March.
According to the new tariffs, families consuming up to 700 kWh per month will pay 8.5 lek/kWh for energy, excluding VAT.
Meanwhile, for families with consumption of 701 kWh per month and above, there is no change, as the price will continue to be 9.5 lek/kWh, excluding VAT.
According to calculations, the new tariff scheme will benefit families that currently have energy bills of up to 8 thousand lek per month, who will pay about 10.5% less for the same amount of energy consumed.
Meanwhile, monthly billing remains a challenge, so that citizens are not penalized in the event of late reading and exceeding the threshold of 700 kWh.
A few days ago, the Electricity Distribution Operator announced that a technical plan has been drafted that will be implemented with the application of the new billing scheme from February 1.
Meanwhile, one of the main measures that OSHEE Group has taken to guarantee correct reading is the addition of 120 new readers, bringing the number of electricity reading employees in the field to 1,000.
