Pensions with Italy-Rama: The implementation of the agreement begins on June 1, 2025!
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today via social media that the pension agreement with Italy will begin implementation on June 1, 2025.
Rama writes that " this is good news and separate to give it the proper attention, outside the whirlwind of the European Political Community Summit, noting that his Italian counterpart Georgia Meloni brought the final document on the day of the European Summit."
"The sister brought to Tirana the final document of the long legal process on the implementation of the Pension Agreement with Italy, which means that from June 1, 2025, the Albanians of Italy will begin to benefit from this meaningful agreement for the new level of relations between Albania and Italy," he writes.
The agreement on the mutual recognition of pension contributions between Albania and Italy will begin implementation in June of this year, and over 500,000 Albanians and a large number of Italian citizens are expected to benefit from this agreement.
