Confiscated assets in the service of education - Ibrahimaj: We improve
Assets obtained from criminal activities are being returned to serve the community and vocational education. At the Vocational High School in Kamëz, the largest in the country, 7 classrooms have been equipped with the necessary material base, creating better conditions for the learning process.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Albana Koçiu, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, the Chief Administrator of AAPSK, Risena Xhaja, together with the Mayor of Kamëz, Rakip Suli, and heads of vocational education visited the classrooms equipped with the necessary logistics for the development of professional practice.

Focusing on the source of these devices, the Minister emphasized the importance of using seized assets in the public interest. "We are making it possible for all assets and assets that have been placed in a criminal manner or due to corruption, that is, illegal activities, all these assets are now being returned to the benefit of the community, to the benefit of citizens, to those who are most in need and to the benefit of society ," the Minister underlined.

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, stated that today everything is moving towards innovation, so as many capacities as possible should be created in this sector. " Our focus is to improve vocational schools, not only in terms of the quality of teaching and education, but also in terms of facilities and equipment, laboratories, because without the latter, no matter how good the education or the quality of the teachers, results cannot be achieved. We are focused on teaching structures, laboratories, but also dormitories, because there are cases where students who want to pursue vocational education do not have schools near their residential centers, but we will ensure that the dormitories are in good conditions. IT today is the key to success for every young person. There is no public or private institution that does not need this sector", said Minister Ibrahimaj.

She underlined that these results are the fruit of a joint institutional effort, thanks to close cooperation between law enforcement institutions. The positive cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, SPAK, BKH and the prosecution offices has enabled the rapid and efficient administration of illegally located assets, as well as the construction of the necessary legal basis, ensuring that such initiatives increase in the future.

The Minister further emphasized that the focus will be on supporting local government and the needy, through the social use of these assets. “We will support local government, by offering opportunities, spaces, both for social housing, and for social and residential centers, for social services for the needy and of course for children and young people. That is why we chose the vocational school here in Kamëz, which is a model in terms of how it actually functions, to equip it so that you can continue to become even more skilled ,” emphasized Koçiu.

In conclusion, the Minister of Internal Affairs conveyed a clear message against crime and corruption.
"I wanted to give a strong message to all those who choose to engage in criminal activities and who think that through them they will get rich, they can no longer do so," she appealed.

In addition to the loss of freedom, the illegally obtained assets will not be enjoyed by the perpetrators, but will be returned to society and the community. Addressing the students, the Minister wished them success and expressed satisfaction that these investments are translating into motivation and real opportunities for young people, encouraging them to see them as part of the public administration in the future.
