At the end of 2026, the digital registration of properties will be completed / 106 cadastral zones, from Elbasan to Malësia e Madhe
The State Cadastral Agency continues the digital registration of properties, marking an important step in the implementation of the national project for the digitalization of property data. The project for the initial registration in 106 cadastral areas covers the territory in rural areas above Elbasan and up to Malësi e Madhe. The Albanian Cadastre announces that for several days, 21 villages of Tropoja have undergone the Initial Registration of immovable property, which constitutes an important step towards guaranteeing property rights. ASHK has also published the list of villages involved in the process.
"We have taken care to inform residents about the importance of the process and the necessity of reflecting every documentation they possess for their properties. At the same time, we carry out measurements and evidence in the field with modern technology to guarantee maximum data quality," the Cadastre announcement states.
This process is intended to be completed throughout the territory of Albania by the end of 2026, creating the opportunity for a faster and more efficient service for citizens through the "e-Albania" platform.
Artificial intelligence is expected to impact the quality of services, with Cadastre experts on the ground emphasizing that after the initial registration is completed, the area will be uploaded to the system and citizens will have the opportunity to apply to receive property titles. By the end of 2025, the scanning and electronic archiving of all technical-legal reference documentation will be completed, while the initial registration is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This project represents an important step towards improving land and property administration in Albania, creating a sustainable basis for economic and social development in these areas.
