Asian vehicles "invade" the Albanian market - DPSHTRR: Over 58

The General Directorate of Road Transport Services announces that 58,444 vehicles were registered for the first time during the first 7 months of this year. Compared to the same period in 2025, registrations have marked an increase of 1.7%.

Meanwhile, cars continue to account for the vast majority of registrations. Out of a total of 58,444 vehicles, 46,446 are cars. They constitute 79.5% of all vehicles registered for the first time during the January-July period.

The DPSHTRR data also show that a significant portion of registered vehicles come from Asian markets. The Republic of Korea tops the list of countries of origin, accounting for 25.5% of total vehicles registered for the first time. China ranks second, with 16.2% of the total. These data show the increasing weight of vehicles of Asian origin in the Albanian market.

After Asian countries, the list of origin of registered vehicles includes some of the main European and American markets. Germany accounts for 11.9% of the total, while Italy 11.7%. Both countries continue to have an important share in the Albanian vehicle market.

The United States of America represents 8.3% of assets registered for the first time during this period, while Switzerland accounts for 6.8% of the total.

If these data are viewed as a whole, it turns out that the majority of the assets registered for the first time during the first seven months of the year come from the Republic of Korea and China, together accounting for 41.7% of the total. Meanwhile, Germany and Italy, with 11.9 and 11.7% respectively, remain among the main European sources of assets registered in Albania.
