Minister Salla in Divjaka: Following requests, the support plan for farmers is being reviewed

At the meeting with farmers in Divjaka for the National Scheme 2026, attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, stated that the support plan is being reviewed, taking into account the requests and suggestions of farmers.
During his speech, Minister Salla emphasized that so far 18 meetings have been held with farmers in different regions of the country, out of a total of 23 planned, underlining that the hearings will continue in each region. “The comments and suggestions of farmers are necessary and very useful for the drafting of the National Scheme 2026, according to the real requirements of the terrain,” he said. Minister Salla also focused on the specific issues addressed during the hearings. “It is very necessary and useful for us to review the support part and the way we will be towards applicants, to reduce the number of livestock heads in order to benefit as many farmers as possible. We have received suggestions for beekeeping and requests related to ownership certificates and land lease contracts,” declared the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
He announced that these suggestions are being analyzed in a structured manner. "We are reviewing them, we have made a plan with AZHBR and the Ministry of Agriculture and we will look at what you suggest to us, to align them with the oil scheme, where we have had additional problems according to the farmers' proposals," said Salla.
The Minister also stressed the need for synchronization of all support instruments. "We must be synchronous, to support also through IPARD, where soon there will be support for the entire agricultural sector. Cold storage rooms will also be built, there will be support for farmers in all fields, such as medicinal plants, and above all we must be on the ground together with the farmers. You will be the voice and support for every work that we will create together," concluded Minister Salla.
Hearings on the National Scheme 2026 will continue in all regions of the country, with the aim of ensuring that supporting policies are built in direct cooperation with farmers and reflect the real needs of the agricultural sector.
