Installment settlement of energy debts - Agreements / Ease for families and businesses. Provisions also for the forgiveness of interest on arrears
The Electricity Distribution Operator has approved new schemes for the installment liquidation of arrears, including the categories of household and business subscribers.
Their application will start on July 21, while according to OSHEE, agreements will be applied for the installment payment of energy bills, unpaid until December 31, 2023, while the condition is that these customers must have closed the obligations created during 2024 and beyond.
Meanwhile, each category of beneficiaries has different benefits, which escalate depending on the client category and the amount of debt each of them has.
More specifically, family clients receiving economic assistance and pensioners can pay their arrears in fixed monthly installments of 1,200 lek, while other family clients can pay their arrears in fixed monthly installments of 2,800 lek.
Meanwhile, businesses can pay their overdue debts in installments determined based on the value of the debt, up to 120 installments.
In parallel, OSHEE Group also approved the scheme for reducing late payment interest against full liquidation of the overdue debt by December 31, 2023. Thus, family clients benefit from a 70% reduction in late payment interest, in case of repayment of the entire obligation at once.
While non-family clients benefit from a 100% reduction in late payment interest, in case of paying off the entire obligation at once. To sign the agreements, clients can visit the Customer Care centers.
