Lezha, a destination in every season - Skanderbeg "illuminates", the memorial attracts around 18 thousand tourists
Investments in infrastructure improvements are making Lezha a favorite destination. In addition to road improvements, beach maintenance, and the release of public spaces, the municipality is also working to identify the most visited historical monuments and attractions.
In one of the most important symbols of Albanian history, the memorial of the national hero Gjergj Kastrioti, lighting was carried out in every part of it as well as along the road leading to this memorial.
Paulin Zefi, responsible for cultural heritage at the Municipality of Lezha, emphasizes that the illuminated view at night makes the memorial more attractive to tourists and visitors this season.
The Skanderbeg Memorial remains one of the most visited spots. In the first 7 months of this year alone, it has been visited by 18,700 visitors and the trend is growing, as Lezha combines the coast with history, nature and rich cuisine, making it a year-round destination.
