The Assembly approves the new composition/ The Council of Mandates and Immunity and the Council of Legislation are formed
In the first plenary session this Tuesday, the Assembly has formalized the new composition of the Council for Regulation, Mandates and Immunities, as well as the Council for Legislation, two key structures in the internal functioning of the institution. Also, the composition of the secretariats and members of the Assembly Bureau.
The Council on Rules of Procedure, Mandates and Immunities plays a key role in interpreting the rules of procedure of the Assembly and reviewing the mandates of the deputies. In this council, in addition to the Speaker of the Assembly, the heads of the SP and DP groups will also be present.
The Legislative Council aims to review draft laws and their compliance with the Constitution and applicable laws.
Both councils have 10 members each, 5 from the Socialist Party and 5 from the Democratic Party, as well as 4 substitute members.
During the session, there were also clashes between the parties, with the opposition opposing the new composition of the committees, proposed by the majority.
