Checks in the tourist season/PHI: Fines and suspension of activity for serious violations of the law!
The State Labor Inspectorate is conducting daily inspections throughout the country, within the framework of a special measures plan for entities that operate mainly in the tourism sector.
The main purpose of these inspections is to ensure safe working conditions, protecting employee rights and guaranteeing a legal labor market.
According to the Inspectorate, from the inspections carried out so far, immediate measures have been taken to suspend the activity of those entities that have resulted in serious violations of the law. In each case, formalization of employment relations has been requested before the completion of the inspection process, as a necessary step to ensure the legal protection of employees.
Additionally, administrative measures have been imposed in accordance with the violations found, while the subjects have been given specific tasks to improve working conditions and implement safety rules in the workplace.
The Inspectorate emphasizes that ensuring the safety of employees in every sector is a priority, especially in those that face influxes during the tourist season.
"Controls, monitoring and inspections will continue uninterrupted throughout the season. Successful tourism is closely linked to a legal, safe and dignified working environment for all," the Inspectorate announced.
