International Competition for the Justice Center - A new urban pole of buildings, a necessity for supporting the judiciary

The program for the international competition for the Justice Center has been presented. According to Prime Minister Edi Rama, a new urban pole of justice system buildings will be established, as a necessity for further support of the judicial power.
"It is without a doubt the largest funding that could ever have been made for administrative infrastructure. Today, opportunities have been created and a number of reasons have been fulfilled to do this because we are in a process where, after a very radical reform in justice, we must continue to do our duties. While you know and do your duties, our duty is to continue to support the system so that it functions with the highest conditions and standards. We cannot say this today, considering the conditions under which judges and prosecutors work and how far behind the system is in terms of technology," said Rama.
Rama said that the project will require expropriation and judges should not be too 'lax' in their treatment.
"It is a space that will require expropriation for public interest. I hope that the judges who will handle the expropriations will not give in because in the end it is the same money that is required to increase salaries. There are not many state coffers, it is a single coffer. Today we have created some opportunities that we did not have. An extraordinary investment has been made. It is very large in terms of funding to make that place where every court prosecutor, when he enters, feels like the most honored man in this republic, even when he sees the walls ," said Rama.
The next step will be a second round of plan review that will then move on to the final competition.
