Property compensation, 1.4 million euros in July - 161 files for lands occupied by informal constructions are executed
Owners whose lands have been occupied by informal constructions are receiving gradual compensation from the Property Treatment Agency.
During the month of July 2025, regarding the handling of requests for compensation for properties occupied by informal constructions, ATP reports that the number of new files is 71, while 161 files have been executed. The value of the executed files amounts to 136.9 million lek or 1.4 million euros in July.
The Property Treatment Agency also announces that during July 2025, it has realized the financial compensation of the final decisions that have recognized the right to compensation for 1 file up to the value of 1.5 million lek, where the executed value is 1.45 million lek. While 4 files with a special request have been processed where it is calculated that the total benefit of the subject based on the percentage applied with a special request is 102.8 million lek, while the installment that passes to the subject is 20.5 million lek.
The Property Treatment Agency has physically compensated 80,664 m2 of surface area.
ATP informs that the process of compensation in value for owners of real estate, private property, affected by informal constructions is an ongoing process, and ATP will process compensation for entities that have applied only after the administrative review of the request and all documentation submitted by them has been completed.
The state budget approves each budget year a financial fund, no less than 50 billion lek until 2028, which will be administered by the Property Treatment Agency for the implementation of the property compensation process.
The government plans to extend the deadline by 3 years, until the end of 2027, for the review of over 7,000 files that are still pending a decision by the Property Treatment Agency as compensation for over 25,000 decisions archived for years at the institution.
