New tourist routes in Korça - EBRD, tender for adventure tourism in Dardhe, Arrëz, Sinec and Nikolicë
Improving the tourist offer of natural sites in the Korça region, by improving access and adventure tourism infrastructure, in Dardhë, Arrëz, Sinec and Nikolicë.
This is the investment that is expected to be carried out in the southeast of the country, with a focus on road interventions in one of the areas with tourist potential in the country. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has opened the tender for the project that will be developed in the 4 villages mentioned above, which are part of the Municipality of Korça.
Interventions on these road axes are part of the Infrastructure and Tourism project in Albania, which is financed by the European Union through technical assistance and investment grants in a total amount of 40 million euros, as well as from the additional sovereign loan of 60 million euros provided by the EBRD to the Albanian government.
The project is being implemented by the Albanian Development Fund, while other similar contracts have been signed previously. The latest was the improvement of accessibility and adventure tourism infrastructure in the Albanian Alps, a contract worth 3.63 million euros.
Earlier, a 1.52 million euro contract was signed for the rehabilitation of the road segment from the Sop roundabout to the Darzeza Bridge.
In parallel, within the framework of this program, the EBRD has also developed tenders for the improvement of the electricity network in the Albanian Alps, aiming to increase access to electricity in this area.
