Laws Commission suspends “Mountains Package” - 35 civil society organizations request up to 40 days of public consultation
The draft law on the "Mountain Package", which aims to develop the mountain economy, has been suspended from consideration in the Parliamentary Laws Committee.
Opposition MPs requested an extension of the review deadline, also referred to by the request of 35 representatives of civil society organizations.
Dhurata Çupi, DP MP:
“On behalf of 35 representatives of civil society organizations, we request the postponement of the discussion of this draft law. This draft law will need to be consulted for at least 40 days to ensure broader transparency.”
However, the Socialist MPs also agreed to postpone the bill, emphasizing the necessity of a discussion of this bill.
