Global Entrepreneurship Week, focus on start-ups and AI - Ibrahimaj: In the fiscal package, we have important instruments for innovation
This Monday, one of the most important activities for businesses and start-ups, entrepreneurship week, began. At the launch of this week, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, stated that the focus of this week is innovation, the development of start-ups, artificial intelligence, not only in Tirana, but also in the cities of Durrës, Elbasan, Vlorë and Shkodër.
"For the first time this week, two very important reports for our economy will be presented. First, the startup ecosystem report will be presented, it is the first of its kind which was drafted in collaboration with startup, an internationally recognized identity, to measure the level of development of the startup ecosystem. The second report is on job trends in the information technology sector."
During her speech, Ibrahimaj also mentioned the instruments that will serve to develop innovation.
"This year, through the fiscal package, we have established an important instrument for the development of innovation. Starting next year, all sponsorships and financing for the start-up ecosystem will be recognized as deductible expenses up to 5% of pre-tax profit."
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a platform that mobilizes over 40,000 activities in 200 countries each year, engaging more than 10 million participants, while Albania is increasing its role on this global stage year after year.
During the week, dozens of activities will take place aimed at building capacities, creating new opportunities for cooperation, and unveiling new innovations in the market.
Among the main activities are: National and international speakers; Lectures from business leaders; Skills development and mentoring sessions; Business visits and panels with women entrepreneurs; Product launches and sector reports.
