Innovation and digitalization, the path of businesses to the EU - Ibrahimaj: A program dedicated to enterprises to transform

Albania is at a crucial moment in its journey towards European integration. With all negotiation chapters with the European Union now open, sustainability, green transition and the embrace of innovation and responsible practices by Albanian businesses are a necessity to face competition in the European market.
Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation:
"We have designed a program dedicated to business, to prepare it for the European market. We need to understand the needs that businesses have in automating processes, increasing standards but also in the level of education. Innovation and digitalization must be embraced to achieve sustainability objectives."
Niklas Ström, Ambassador of Sweden in Tirana:
"This is a moment of transformation for the country and Sweden is a partner on this path. Integration is a great opportunity for businesses and the government. Businesses need to innovate to reach European markets. If Albania becomes greener, it will be more reliable for international partners and for exports. If you want to benefit as businesses from integration, you need to innovate and create new business models."
The “Business2030” conference on the theme “A Sustainable Future “Made in Albania” organized by UNDP Albania, in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden, and the UN agencies in Albania, UNIDO, FAO and ILO, brought together government representatives, business leaders, investors, development partners, academics and young innovators to discuss how the Albanian private sector can seize the opportunities offered by the green and digital transitions.
